Followers of my blog may recall that August is artillery month.
Four limber teams and two horse artillery teams was always going to be a stiff task, not helped by painting being limited to the second half of the month. In fact each team takes me the same amount of time as a six-figure cuirassier squadron! However, here are the first two teams. This is a Perry Minis set, which comes two horses down from the full compliment for teams attached to the Horse Artillery:
Next two teams en route...
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Rodger :-)
DeleteGreat limber. There are something special with those fancy Napoleonic uniforms and equipment.
ReplyDeleteThank you. They do stand out on the board :-)
DeleteYour efforts paid off in spades, Stephen. The teams looks every bit as impressive as any cavalry unit. The white harness is quite stunning too.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dean. The harness is very striking - perhaps a little too white .
DeleteTime consuming but very rewarding in terms of completing a set wargaming table. Beautiful unit, what green did you go with on the gun, foundry or?
ReplyDeleteCitadel: Kantor Blue shade, then The Fang, with 50/50 Codex Grey/The Fang for the highlight.
DeleteLooks beautiful, great job Stephen!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Phil :-)
DeleteExellent work !
ReplyDeleteCheers, Michael :-)
DeleteThere's no avoiding the work required and at least you must be pleased with your results. I particularly love the barrels.
ReplyDeleteThe barrels have seen a bit of action ;-)
