We ran two games of Black Powder at the Horisont convention in Odense, Denmark in November. Both featured a mixed French/Polish Corps of two infantry divisions and a below strength heavy cavalry division against a Anglo-Brunswick Corps of two infantry divisions.
Here are some of the piccies:
Impressive spread of miniatures.
ReplyDeleteHow did the rules/ games went?
Great - although it's amazing how each group has a subtly different take on the rules
DeleteI have pretty much given up playing BP. They don't really work outside a group as everybody has their own interpretations and modifications.
DeleteUnfortunately, this means that I've not used my own Napoleonics at all this year, my last game was in July 2014.
Seriously considering if my large collection of French has a future.
BP aren't as tightly written and thought through as HC, but the problem I find is when people bring other concepts in and just don't play the rules as written. All to often I encounter local adjustments to counter problems created by a failure to apply the rules as written :-)
DeleteWhat a great set-up and wonderful pictures Stephen. So good to see your wonderful figures wreaking havoc on the battlefield mate.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Carlo
DeleteVery impressive troops. The scenario is great, too - specially the house in ruins. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks, we even managed to eject the riflemen from it - once!
