Onto the third cavalry unit, 9e régiment de cuirassiers. I've broken with my tradition of doing squadrons at a time, to crack the flanking stands from the two rear squadrons.
Next up are a front rank squadron and a command stand for a rear squadron.
Nice! I think the cuirassiers look so good with the yellow distinctive colour! did you think about varying the trousers colours? from my experience with this yellow grey and brown give an even better look. How big is the 9th going to be?
I think that also works well, especially for the last several years. This will be another unit of twenty four, splitting into two twelve-figure units for Black Powder. I'd love to take them up to eight-figure squadrons one day...
8-figure squadrons? a lot of work :) I think that in campaign they were pretty much always understrength, so if 8-figures is the theoritical number, 6 is much more realistic. Keep them coming, no futuristic distraction please ;)
They look wonderful to me!

ReplyDeleteI think theoretical would bring us closer to ten-figure squadrons at 1:20!
