Those who follow the Lead Painters League may be aware that I signed up for 'It's Alive!' - a collaborative task in which we try to finish off abandoned projects. In my case, a late sixteenth century Samurai army.
So first up were the last of the dismounted samurai, as well as refreshing those already completed.
Must be one of the hardest periods to paint. Your's look great!
ReplyDeleteThanks John, I certainly don't find them as comfortable to paint as Medievals or Napoleonics!
DeleteLovely work on these, Stephen!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Dean :-)
DeleteDamn fine painting Stephen!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ray
DeleteThinking back to our first meeting at Salute in 2011(?), it's nice to see you reconnect with this period. Your painting does the Perry minis wonderful justice!
ReplyDeleteI think that I was already over here. So it may have been 2012, but good to dust these boys off either way. Didn't you have some to paint up yourself back then?
DeleteCertainly a change from your recent projects. Great work on them.
ReplyDeleteThanks Scrivs :-)
DeleteWonderfull, a period I've tried to tackle many times, in both 15 and 28mm, never got very far, Which annoys me, as I love the period.
ReplyDeleteStunning looking unit !!!
