Great Northern War II

Another test paint. This time a Front Rank figure painted up to represent an officer from Prins Georgs Regiment c.1704.

After so long in foreign service, he is somewhat more elaborately dressed than the norm and wears a sash in British colours. Opinion on the tunic colour is mixed. With grey and blue being the top two options I went for a pragmatic grey-blue ;-)

  1. Looks perfect - I think Front Rank makes the best of this period. Best, Dean

    1. I think we're spoilt with Front Rank, Musketeer, Ebor and Warfare.

  2. Compliments on some very nice painting. Are you aiming at a complete unit of these?

    1. Yes, at least one Brigade of Danes c.1704 - perhaps more.

  3. Hi Stephen,

would be great if you have the colours listed here as well that you used. I am currently looking to do a danish regiment for my Williamite Wars in Ireland project and I often stumble on the fact that I cant distinguish either blue or grey... this one looks as the perfect mixture and so I would be delighted if you could pass along the colours (or a tutorial would be even better) you used here. Thanks

    Cheers

    1. Ironically, given you user name, it's a straight from the pot Citadel colour - The Fang. Highlighted with increasing amounts of white :-)
