Based on some information from Ray King, the grenadier caps for North and Greys needed a little reworking. I also took the chance to redo the eyes:
Then it was onto the left flank companies of the 1st Regiment of Foot Guards (with a different approach to the faces, which probably means revisiitng North and Grey's again ):
Next up, the left flank companies of North and Grey's and the centre companies of the 1st Foot Guards
Looking realy good !
ReplyDeletebase size? 50x50mm ?
Yes, 50x50mm. With Cavalry going on 70x60mm
DeleteTruly lovely work on these. The details really are evident. Best, Dean
ReplyDeleteLovely paint job, really impressive grenadier caps! ..and a choice of bases that is starting to grow on me. Are these the ones from "under the bed enterprises" or Warbases?
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for your kind comments. These are steel bases from Precision Wargames Supplies
DeleteVery nice painting work, very nice. The bases are wonderful, too.
ReplyDeleteSo much to admire about these figures. Bravo. I had no idea the Guards wore blue facings and collars - they look quite nice with the basic red coat.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your fine work.
M
Yes, all the royal regiments had blue facings :-)
